Charles Causley (1917-2003) was an important figure in British poetry who has only lately begun to receive the critical and scholarly attention that is due such a popular and highly anthologised literary figure.
This symposium is part of a larger project to raise the profile of Causley as both a regional and national poet, and as a central figure in British twentieth-century poetry – a poet who faced outwards from Cornwall while locating himself very much in the landscape of his life. The symposium is to be held at Falmouth University, Saturday 6 December 2014 in conjunction with the Charles Causley Trust and Literature Works (South West).
The registration page for the symposium will be available in October 2014. For those interested in speaking please visit the Call for Papers page.
